Charge and secure 16 devices for less than the cost of one Chromebook. Can be mounted to a wall or secured to a tabletop. Featuring adjustable height and depth for a range of devices.
At JAR Systems, we often hear from schools that want to implement wall-mountable charging stations or cabinets, but they are dissatisfied with their options because they are too heavy or cumbersome to actually hang on the wall, they do not make sense cost-wise, they are inconvenient to service in the classroom, and more. We designed the Essential 16 Charging Station to address these issues with a combination of affordability and versatility that provides high value for schools.
We are pleased to now offer affordable, nation-wide assembly services for the Essential 16 for schools that do not wish to do it themselves. Units can be shipped assembled or can be assembled on-site with a minimum quantity of four per location. Inquire for additional details.
There are a lot of small details in the Essential 16's design that makes the open concept work. Key pieces of hardware are hidden when the unit is locked and loaded with devices so that the top and front locking bars cannot be removed. The metal dividers are locked into the unit and are rigid to avoid bending to maneuver devices out. The front locking arms interlock with each other rather than meeting in the middle so that when they are locked there is no movement. The adjustable depth of the unit also plays a role in its security. It allows you to make the unit smaller for smaller devices.
We put a lot of thought into elements of the Essential 16 that make it adaptable to be used with a range of different devices and adapters, whether it is hanging on a wall or sitting on a desktop. For example, the reversible power strip can be mounted to the unit in four different positions on the back or bottom side. Other details like numbered charging bays (1-16 or 17-32) make the system customizable to your environment.
We've gotten a lot of positive feedback on the Essential 16 and one of the most common things that we hear is that the quality exceeded the customer's expectations for the price that they paid. It is true that the Essential 16 is not a flimsy charging station because it is designed to easily hold the weight of 16 laptops and adapters while hanging. We see this as a matter of safety, which we take very seriously.
JAR Systems has spent over a decade working directly with school administrators to build, manage, and overcome challenges with mobile classroom solutions. We use this experience to help schools think beyond the standard cart requirements of “how many does it hold” and “does it roll” to see charging solutions as critical components of a successful technology program.
